My philosophy at “Kahoodol” is to instigate surprise or positive, unexpected outcomes. So through “Kahoodol Leather” I champion the creation of surprise or positive, unexpected happiness through the artisan design and creation of special, unique, bespoke, handmade leather bags and accessories. Made in Bristol, England, from me especially for you!
Kahoodol means every bag has to be different! Kahoodol means materials and leather stocks change with time! Kahoodol means a very close, friendly relationship with all customers! Kahoodol means irregular, usually or “Out of the Box” ideas to open up new ways! Based on this holistic design concept I would love to make something for you or someone that you hold dear. This site is designed to show you an idea of what is available and what I have already made, what you can expect! and first and foremost giving you a chance to build your imagination; the true Kahoodol spirit.
It is simple to get started. Use the contact form to get in touch with me and I will give you a call to see what you have in mind. You can choose from classic styles like a shoulder-bag or satchel design in your choice of size and colours or we can talk about something even more unique in size shape design and materials. I have already made one bag out of copper and would happily turn my hand to rubber, neoprene or canvas etc. See some pictures below of bespoke commissions I have made.
Planning a friend’s hen party or other special celebration can be pretty stressful and you want to get everything perfect, making sure everyone has a special time. One way to achieve this is to ask me at Kahoodol Leather to help organise a crafty party that you know your friend would love. Fulfil your crafty dream and take away a hand sewn leather Tote bag for every participant.
All of the bags that I make at Kahoodol Leather are hand made: What does Handmade mean to me!
Hand made really means made totally by hand. The original pattern design draw by hand, the pattern pieces drawn onto the pattern card by hand. The pattern cut out by hand. The leather is cut our from the pattern by hand and then every stitch is marked and sown using two needle saddle stitching techniques by hand. Not a machine in site. Hand made means made by hand, means unique and means not perfect but perfect for you.
All leather is unique to the animal, holding the scars of the animal’s lifetime, including growth marks, insect bites and any scrapes the animal might have experienced. In time, your leather case will take on a beautiful patina telling the story of where its owner has been.
Leather is soft and supple, with natural variation that will add character with age. Due to the natural characteristics of this leather, some colour transfer may occur. Therefore, care should be taken when wearing light coloured clothing. Exposure to rain or prolonged exposure to sunshine should be avoided.

The new Kahoodol.co.uk website is live from 1st May 2018. Over the next few days I am going to transfer over to this site a lot of old content that has been posted onto my old website and other blogging services. The idea is to bring it all to one place so that it can […]
Having played with the name of the leather project for a while I went for the obvious option and called it Kahoodol. Given that Kahoodol is my longstanding project name. Kahoodol Leather seemed eminently appropriate as the leather work fits beautifully into the Kahoodol culture. That said what about a logo? I had visited Greenwich, […]
